Bringing Christian, English-Language Education to Rural Romania
In the rural community of Lunca, Romania, a new educational vision is taking shape—one that brings together Christian faith, academic excellence, English-language instruction, and an international outlook.
New Life School Romania is being established to provide children with educational opportunities that are often difficult to find in rural communities. The school will welcome local Romanian children as well as English-speaking students from other parts of the country, creating a caring and multicultural learning community.
Education That Develops the Whole Child
At New Life School, education will extend beyond textbooks, examinations, and academic achievement. Our desire is to help every student grow intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
We believe that every child has been created by God with unique gifts, abilities, and potential. Through excellent teaching, strong relationships, practical learning, and Christian principles, students will be encouraged to discover those gifts and learn how to use them in service to God and others.
The school’s Christ-centred environment will promote values such as integrity, compassion, responsibility, perseverance, respect, and service. These values will be integrated naturally into school life, helping students develop both knowledge and character.
Learning in English, Preparing for the World
English will be the primary language of instruction at New Life School. This will give Romanian students the opportunity to develop strong English communication skills while studying in an immersive learning environment.
English-language education can open doors to further studies, international programs, employment opportunities, travel, and meaningful relationships with people from different cultures. By becoming confident English speakers, students will be better prepared to participate in an increasingly interconnected world.
At the same time, New Life School will honour Romanian language, history, culture, and community life. Our goal is not to separate students from their local identity, but to help them value their heritage while developing an international perspective.
The school will also provide an educational home for English-speaking children living in Romania. Romanian and international students will be able to learn together, build friendships, and gain a deeper appreciation for different cultures and experiences.
Small Classes and Individual Attention
Every child learns differently. Some students need additional time and encouragement, while others are ready for greater challenges.
New Life School plans to offer small classes so teachers can know their students personally, recognize their strengths, understand their needs, and provide meaningful individual support. In this environment, students will be encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, solve problems, and participate actively in their education.
Strong relationships among students, teachers, and families will be an essential part of the school community.
Creativity, Discovery, and STEAM Education
The educational program will include learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics—commonly known as STEAM.
Students will be encouraged to learn through experiments, projects, problem-solving, design, creativity, and collaboration. These practical experiences can help children connect classroom knowledge with the world around them and develop skills that will be valuable throughout their lives.
Leadership, service, communication, and character development will also form an important part of the learning experience. Our hope is to prepare young people who are not only knowledgeable, but also compassionate, responsible, creative, and willing to contribute to their communities.
Why Lunca?
Children living in rural communities often face barriers that limit their educational choices. Access to international education, English-language instruction, modern learning resources, and specialized programs may require families to travel or relocate—options that are not available to everyone.
New Life School will bring these opportunities directly to Lunca while also serving families from surrounding communities and other parts of Romania.
We believe that a child’s future should not be determined by the place where that child was born or by the family’s financial circumstances. Supporting education in Lunca is an investment not only in individual students, but also in families, local communities, and future generations.
Making Education Accessible
An important part of our vision is to support children whose families have limited financial resources. New Life School seeks to become a place where students are welcomed, valued, and given the opportunity to flourish.
Achieving this vision will require the involvement of people who believe in the transforming power of Christian education. Individuals, churches, businesses, foundations, and other organizations can help by supporting student scholarships, classroom equipment, English-language books, computers, STEAM resources, teacher development, and the school’s ongoing operations.
